Situation

Enerflex required a ventilation silencer to be designed and manufactured to meet strict noise requirements for Chevron’s Gorgon LNG plant on Barrow Island.

Solution

Aerison was engaged as the primary contractor to deliver the engineering, design, and fabrication of the ventilation silencer.

The scope included:

• Design, manufacture, and supply one (1) off vent silencer including lightning pole.

Highlights

• Vent silencer fully manufactured from 316 stainless steel.
• Full weld mapping and traceability provided.

Outcome

• Vent silencer design to meet strict noise requirements of 85dB(A) at 1m.
• Vent silencer designed to suit a flow rate of 12,593 kg/hr.
